Claim of Minister for Health, Sham Lal Seemed to a political stunt

GNS Rajouri Poonch Nov 11;Though the state has achieved the milestone in health sector yet the people are dying due to negligence of doctors in the state and the hapless people have to suffer the loss of lives in the hands of doctors, who are being paid hefty perks and packages to give prompt treatment. Either the hallow claim of Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma are seeming to be political stunt as the doctors are hardly caring for patients in Sub District Hospital, Mendhar or the doctors hardly cares for him and his directions and putting the patients in high risk. A young girl namely SobiaNasreen Khan daughter of Late Karamat-Ulla Khan resident of Harni, Gursai, Mendhar, who was Advocate by profession and was going to be wedded on November 13, met with an accident got fractures in her arms and legs and her tongue was too inured at 10.30 am but she was in complete sense according to her family members. She was rushed to nearby Sub District Hospital, Mendharwith in half an hour, at 11 am and she was too in sense. She was talking and promptly responding but negligent doctors and staff did not take the matter seriously and left her to die. The family members said that they had constantly approached the doctors to treat her but the dilly-dallying policy of doctors had killed the young and upcoming advocate. The family members alleged with heavy heart that they were constantly requesting the doctors to attend her with seriousness but the negligent doctors and para-medical staff had not taken the request with due concern. She was not given drip and no doctor had checked her blood pressure, which was the important component of treatment. Though the surgeon was present in the hospital yet the treatment was absent in the case of SobiaNasreen Khan. Her brother with heavy heart said that the attitude of doctors was not equitable with the profession and ultimately killed a budding advocate of far-flung area. The family members today lodged a complaint against the responsible doctors to the Chief Medical Officer, Poonch, Dr Mohd Younis Chaudhary and he directed the Block Medical Officer, Mendhar, Dr Mumtaz Bhatti to get the matter enquired within a period of three to detect the lacuna in the department. While talking telephonically, the CMO, Poonch said that the due action would be taken against the person responsible for negligence if found during the course of enquiry. He further said that doctors are deployed to treat the people and in emergency cases the doctors had to act promptly. He said, "We are getting good salaries for discharging our duties and no one is allowed to execute negligence or dereliction of his/her duties and if any body found involved as alleged by the family members would be dealt strictly." Meanwhile, the BMO, Mendhar, Dr MumtazBhatti said that he would not spare any body if he smells any small foul in case and recommend strict action against him. He expressed sympathy with the family over the loss of young girl, who was too budding advocate of the locality and said, "Our priority is patient and there is no option to our priority. If any body has derelict his/her duties while executing treatment should dealt with iron rods."

PDP emerged a force in Twin border District of Poonch , Rajouri

GNS RAJOURI : The way opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) led by former JK Chief Minister and erstwhile union home minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayed has been emerging as a force in the border region of Poonch , Rajouri, is really a worrying situation for Congress and National Conference . It would be much better to say that the situation if more threatening for NC as compared to Congress as the region has always been strong belt of the former for decades . The latest example is the entry of Chowdhary Qamer Hussain of Rajouri in the party fold who was earlier associated with Congress and had contested on Congress ticket from Rajouri in 2002 assembly elections , but had finished second at  that time . Qamar is not alone in the region who joined PDP in the past some months, National Conference has already received a big loss by loosing its influential cadres in Poonch district . The example is the entry of Shah Mohammad Tantray and Shehzaad Ahmed Khan of Poonch in to PDP  No...

Simultaneous alliance with Congress and BJP exhibits NC’s brazen political opportunism: PDP “Offering ‘ministerial berth’ bait manifests Omar’s insecurity”

GNS Srinagar, Nov 30: Terming Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s latest move of courting BJP as his new allies a brazen show of opportunism, opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said the National Conference has taken the political immorality to a new low by simultaneously entering into coalition of expedience with Congress and BJP. “As NC has always survived on trickery, its latest move to woo back its old allies (BJP) is in tune with the party’s philosophy of political opportunism and deceit,” PDP chief spokesman Naeem Akhtar said in a statement issued here today. He said, curiously, developing NC-BJP bonhomie coincides with the recent visit of senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Arun Jaitley in Jammu. Terming Omar Abdullah’s ‘ministerial berth’ bait a desperate attempt to keep the dissipating NC flock together and fully exploit disgruntled party legislators for upcoming Legislative Council polls,  Akhtar said Abdullahs have a history of adopting ‘use-a...
