GNS JAMMU, JULY 25–The members of J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Kissans today stressed for establishment of Seed Bank in the state for the benefit of the farmers. The demand was raised at meeting of the Board chaired by its Vice Chairman Mr. Rachpal Singh and attended by Additional Commissioner, Jammu, Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control, Jammu, Director Agriculture Jammu, Director Horticulture Jammu, Director Sericulture Jammu, Director Fisheries Jammu, Director Floriculture Jammu, Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu, Director Extension SKUAST Jammu and the Secretary of the Board participated in the meeting. Threadbare discussion were held on issues of availability of Hybrid fertilizer, seeds, installation of cold storage facilities and canning centres to the farmers.
