GNS :Jammu  : Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Tuesday approved the appointment of 347 Junior Engineers in R&B Department to speed up the construction and upgradation of road communication in backward and remote villages of the State.  The selection of these engineers was made by the State Service Selection Recruitment Board some time back but the process of appointments was pending owing to litigations in the courts. The Chief Minister had directed the concerned departments to pursue the matter vigorously in the courts to clear the deck for appointments of these engineers. This resulted in the prompt settlement of court cases and the Chief Minister today signed the appointment proposal of these engineers. Omar Abdullah also approved launch of 535 road schemes under PMGSY in the State at a cost of over Rs. 1216 crore. GNS JAMMU :  Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Tuesday afternoon flagged off a group of students from the State from MAM Stadium here to an exposure visit to the country organized by J&K State Rehabilitation Council in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.  Speaking at a function on this occasion, the Chief Minister asked the students to act as ambassadors of Jammu and Kashmir and present the State’s specialities to their counterparts during the visit to various parts of the country.  “The tour has provided you an opportunity to study the cultural diversity, development aspects, life styles, educational excellence and other features of socio-economic progress in various parts of India”, he told the students asking them to also give details about the rich heritage, culture, amity, development, environment, hospitality of the people and natural beauty of the State to the people and students to whom they are going to meet and interact during the visit.  The Chi...

GNS RAJOURI :Rajouri Police arrested a BJP District Youth President in connection with  porno  video case of a minor  Rajouri girl.The girl recorded their 164  statement before  Distt.Judge Rajouri,after that police booked the BJP Youth leader/accused under section 376/363/292,67/67A/21A RPC FIR NO.580/11 at Police Station Rajouri sources told GNS.The accused has been wanted to the police from last three month.
