Charar-i-Sharief-Rahmoo Pulwama road to be opened for traffic within three months: Rather

GNS CHARAR-I-SHARIEF (BUDGAM), JULY 25- The ambitious Rahmoo- Charar-i-Sharief road via Tilsara village will be thrown open for traffic within three months which was a decade’s old demand of the people of Pulwama and Charar-i-Sharief especially pilgrims visiting the revered shrine of Harat-e-Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Wali (RA). This road link will be the shortcut between Rahmoo-Pulwama to Charar-i-Sharief as it will reduce the distance to only 6 kms against existing about 30 kms between Rahmoo to Charar-i-sharief. 
Announcement in this regard was made by the Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather while addressing a huge public meeting at Tilsara- a remote village in Charar-i-Sharief constituency- after laying foundation stone of Rs. 47 lakh Government High School building there. 
The Minister said that the bridge near Bachinar, which connects Rahmoo-Pulwama with Tilsara- Charar-i-Sharief is in final stage of completion, besides, providing easy and short approach to the pilgrims of Pulwama and Anantnag districts to reach the shrine of Sheikh Noor-ud-Wali (RA), it will also generate economic activities in the area and expand business and trade links between the people of Tilsara- Charar-i-Sharief and Pulwama.
Mr. Rather also announced that a magnificent Primary Health Centre building at a cost of Rs. 1.75 crore will be constructed in Tilsara village shortly.  He also announced black topping of Tujan to Tilsara road adding that Charawni-Tilsara road link will also be upgraded immediately. 
The Minister was accompanied by District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Mr. Khurshid Ahmed Shah, Assistant Commissioner Development, Budgam, Qazi Sarwar, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Aleem Din, Chief Education Officer and concerned district officers and engineers of different departments. 
Mr. Rather said that purpose of visiting the far-flung and kandi areas was to bring the administration at the door steps of the neglected rural masses so that their grievances are redressed effectively and adequately. He said mission of the present government led by Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah is to ensure equitable justice and uniform development of all the regions of the state without any political consideration. He said service to the people is his main agenda and assured the people that no stone will be left unturned to come upto their expectations.
