22 Doda deputations call on CM


GNS DODA, DECEMBER : As many as 22 deputations from various areas of Doda Wednesday evening called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here and presented him the memoranda of demands concerning them.
 The Chief Minister gave patient hearing and said that equitable development of all sections of the society is the bench mark of his government. He said the demands put-forth by the deputations would be given due consideration for redressal.
The deputations included Bar Association Doda led by Advocate Ghulam Hassan, Doda Development Front led by Chuni Lal, Social Welfare Front led by Raja Anayatullah, Schedule Caste deputation led by Bhagat Ram, Deputation of Congress Workers led by Javid Iqbal, a deputation of media persons of Doda district led by Naseer Ahmad Khora, a deputation of Awami National Conference Workers party led by Rana Puri Singh, a deputation of Beopar Mandal led by Karamutallah Nehru, a deputation of Child and Women Care NGO led by Dr. Zia Showkat, Doda Welfare Society, led by Mohammad Iqbal, a deputation of Sanatan Dharam Sabha led by Advocate Raman Pradeep, a deputation of Gujjar and Bakarwals led by Choudhary Salamdin, a deputation of Civil Society Doda led by Abdul Qayoom Zargar, a deputation of National Panther’s Party led by Farooq Ahmad Dar, a deputation of hilly areas demanding Hill Development Council for Doda led by Ghulam Hassan Tak, a deputation from Thatri led by Bashir Ahmad Sarwal, a deputation from Gandoh led by Mohammad Iqbal Bhat, Human Rights Forum led by Abdul Qayoom, deputation from Pul Doda led by Ved Prakash and a deputation of Chenab Valley Journalist Association led by Abid Shafi.
 The deputations in their interaction apprised the Chief Minister about matters relating to various issues pertaining to the general development of Doda and concerning the members of the associations they represented. The construction of Doa-Deesa-kapran road, upgradation of district hospital Doda, construction of Ganpat bridge and removal of encroachments in Doda town were stressed on by the deputationists.
 The Political Adviser to Chief Minister Mr. Davinder Singh Rana was also present during the interaction session.

We are bound to taking action against erring CRPF personnel” DC Srinagar GNS Srinagar, March 07 : Coming down heavily on unbridled CRPF personnel for ransacking houses and religious places, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr Asghar Samoon Thursday appealed people to contact District administration in case CRPF personnel indulge in ransacking houses in any area. Ransacked dozens of houses smashed window panes in Srinagar GNS SRINAGAR MARCH  07 :Violent protests erupted in North Kashmir’s frontier district after a CRPF vehicle allegedly crushed two youth.In Srinagar’s Batamaloo area CRPF allegedly ransacked dozens of houses and smashed window panes and doors. People claimed that CRPF personnel even didn’t spare women and ch ildren and beat them to pulp. “CRPF personnel forced their entries into the houses and they even entered into Batamaloo Ziyarat and beat everyone whosoever came in the way,” a local from Batamaloo told on phone.Sister of Muslim League Chairman, Mushtaq-ul-Islam told on phone that their house was targeted by CRPF personnel and all the windowpanes were smashed by unbridled forces personnel. “There was no stone-pelting. Everything was calm. Suddenly we heard sound and saw CRPF personnel throwing marbles through catapult. They broke all the window panes of our house,” she said.
