Ravinder Shrama hoisted National Flag at Higher Secondary School Devak,


GNS Sunderbani :In a colorful function, Mr. Ravinder Shrama, Member Legislative Council hoisted National Flag at Higher Secondary School Devak, today which was attended by a large number of people including Panches and Sarpanches. Prominent among those were Naib Tehsildar Sunderbani Mr. Rakesh Sharma, Principal  Mr. Pishori Lal, Sarpanch Subedar (Retd.) Om Prakash and others.
Speaking on the occasion  Mr. Sharma highlighted the importance of celebration of Re-public Day. He said that  on this  day our Constitution  was come into force and we have faith and proud on our Constitution which is the best in the World.  When we celebrate  this day, it appears unity in diversity.
He recalled the sacrifices of its great leaders like Mahatma Gamndhi, Pt. Jawahar lal Nehru . Neta ji Subash Chander Bose, Shaheed Azam Bhagat Singh, Sardar Patel, Mulana Abul Kalam Azad, Lal Bahadur Shastri, and many other freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives to liberate India from foreign rulers and guide modern India towards its substantive progress. He also recalled the leaders like Smt. Indira Gandhi, Shri Rajiv Gandhi who sacrificed their lives for the unity and integrity of the country.
Mr.  Sharma said that Right to Information act is the  biggest tool provided to people by the UPA Govt., to fight corruption at all levels and to bring transparency in the system.
Mr. Sharma announced construction  of boundary wall, toilet complex and additional accommodation for cclass rooms for Higher Secondary School  Devak.  Besides  construction of  a library at Govt. School Hathal to be named after veteran leader Shri  Nand Kumar Vaid.
Earlier Mr. Sharma has also hoisted Nation Flag at Govt. High School  Parnara, where a large number of people attended the function prominent among those were  Naib Tehsildar Sunderbani Rakesh Sharma, Head Master Sat Pal Sharma and  Sarpanch Tirath Ram.
Mr. Sharma announced funds out of his CDF for leveling  of play ground  and sports kit to High School Barnara.

6321 kanals of land transferred to CUs for creation of infrastructure: Malik

GNS JAMMU MAR,01 :Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik today informed the Legislative Assembly that about 4641 kanals and 4325 kanals of land has been indentified for the establishment of the Central Universities at Jammu and Kashmir respectively, out of which 3000 kanals and 3321 kanals stands transferred to these Universities. He said the process of transferring the remaining land is in progress. The Minister was replying to question of Mr. Yashpal Kundal in the House. The Minister said that the job of land survey and contour mapping has been assigned to Educational Consultants India Limited (EDCIL) after which master plans will be formulated and the construction work taken up. He said at present both the Central Universities are functional in the rental accommodation. Govt. to conduct scientific study of the traffic management in J&K

By Tahir Mushtaq (TNI) GNS JAMMU, : With Management of rising vehicles become a nightmare for the administration in the rapidly growing urban centers of Jammu and Kashmir, government has decided to formulate a comprehensive City Transport Policy for scientific management of the vehicles. Sources said that some private consultants are being hired by the Transport Department to do a detailed study of traffic pattern, road use and ways to deal with the jams at peak hours.
