PDP condemns the killing of innocent youth in Rafiabad

GNS Srinagar : Describing it very unfortunate, the killing of Ashiq Hussain a youth from Laiser Rafiabad, PDP president Ms Mehbooba Mufti has said that such tragic incidents not only shatter the faith of people in democratic system but also create a sense of insecurity among them.
Expressing sympathies with the family of Ashiq Hussain, Mehbooba said that ordering of inquiries in such unfortunate incidents seems to have become a routine affair without yielding any result for the victims or their families. Countless inquiries have been ordered till date Altaf of Boniyar being the latest one now being followed by todays inquiry into Ashaq Hussain’s death. But till date not a single person held responsible has been punished be it Alochi Bagh Killing, Zahid Farooq, Wamiq Farooq or Anantnag killings etc etc.
She said lodging an FIR or ordering an inquiry has become an escape route for the present govt to take the heat of the moment so that things calm down, she said and added that NC governments traditionally promoted a culture of impunity and the present regime is no different.
PDP General Secretary Mohammed Dilawar Mir also condemned the killing and accused the present regime of having lost count of the number of youth that have got killed during the last three years of their tenure. He further expressed his heart felt sympathies with the family.
