MLA Mendhar Demanded Compensation of Paddy Crops to the farmers.

GNS JAMMU  JULY .23:Former Minister and MLA Mendhar Sardar Rafiq

Hussain Khan in his Press statement stated that the present coalition
led by the Omar Abdullaha government  policy was totally against  the
farmers and not serious towards there problems. He stressed upon the
government  to provide compensation to the farmers of Mendhar who suffered
heavy loss to their paddy crops in this summer season due to  dryness of
natural springs and not reaching of monsoon rainfall this year .He
further stressed and demanded that the government  Should direct the
concerned  official of district Poonch to assesses the losses
suffered by the farmers. He further demanded that the government should
provide free ration (rice) for one year to the affected families of
Mendhar.
He Further alleges  that ground water department regarding hand
pumps  has totally failed and having nexus between the contractors and
the concerned officials of this department .He further stated that
every year the hand pumps in legislature quota were lapsed and BRGF
quota were still pending due to negligence of this coalition govt. .He
said that he had talked number of times with the concerned Minster,
commissioner and chief engineers of the department. But they give only
a false assurance that they will do it immediately, this govt. is
totally against public developments.
