MLA Shopian demands magisterial inquiry into death of Aaqib


GNS Srinagar, July 31: Taking a strong exception to the mysterious death of Aaqib Ahmad Bhat a water tanker driver, Abdul Razaq Zawoora Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and MLA Shopian has demanded a magisterial inquiry into the incident.
Zawoora who along with Ghulam Mohiudin Wachi a party leader , immediately visited the bereaved family to offer condolences, observed that Balpora incident where Bhat a twenty year old youth was found dead near his water tanker is condemnable and the circumstances that led to his death needs to be probed fairly.
 Referring to the local version about the incident, the MLA Shopian demanded that since Bhat was allegedly taken into custody by CRPF, the angle needs to be investigated thoroughly to nab the culprits.
“Some vested interests are hell bent on disrupting peace and Aqib’s death is a component of that conspiracy which must be probed to contain this unwanted bloodshed in Kashmir,” Zawoora remarked.
“The youth had not even remote connection with the militancy. The culprits of this heinous crime must be booked and brought to justice,” he demanded while expressing solidarity with the bereaved family.
Zawoora said that since Bhat’s body has been found under mysterious circumstances his death smacks of something fishy. The MLA Shopian has expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
