PDP demands withdrawal of cases against 2 Udhampur youth


GNS Srinagar, Aug 23: Demanding immediate withdrawal of cases against two Udhampur youth allegedly wearing a particular green colour dress, Nayeem Akhter, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief spokesperson today said such tactics shows how the present government exposes youth of the state to worst kind of manipulations and suppression.
In a statement issued here today, Akhter said: “This is a ridiculous atrocity perpetrated by the present dispensation on youth and by resorting to such kind of tactics, shows how this government exposes our youth to worst kind of repression.”
He added that such kind of police action in no way can contribute positively and instead it will promote lawlessness in the state.  “It is disgraceful and reprehensible, and it is abhorrent that youth are arrested and frivolous charges are fabricated against them,” Akhter said, while demanding immediate withdrawal of cases against the two Udhampur youth.
