GNS JAMMU 01 NOV : The Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered a fresh case against the infamous Hajeej Travels company for allegedly duping Haj aspirants once again.
Appreciating the intervention of Director General (DG) of Police in the infamous duping case of the Hajj aspirants, the aspirants have demanded strict action against the owners of the Hajjeej Company.
Sources told, after duping the Hajj aspirants in year 2011, Hajjeej owners Abdul Wahid Gilkar and his two sons Faiban and Arsalan again duped Hajj aspirants this year. Duped aspirants Chairman Ghulam Hassan along with other duped aspirants told that they had they had paid the amount in advance in July 2011 and they had paid more 30,000 rupees to the company as was assured more facilities and less distance from the Makkah. “The trio disappeared as the Hajj departure time came nearer”, said Hassan.
Hassan said that it was only after the intervention of DG that the Khanyar Police Station has registered case against the trio. “Police station has registered the case against the tri under FIR number 88/12 under section 420, 406, 295/A Cr.pc”, said Hassan.
Sources told, the trio is absconding from the law and police have initiated efforts for their immediate arrest.
Decieved aspirants had held protest demonstrations recently Chanting slogans against the company owner, dozens of the aspirants, both men and women, alleging of being deceived by the trio, demanding their immediate arrest.
While as the court had strictly directed the company to ensure hassle-free travel to the aspirants of 2012 who had already deposited the amount in 2011, the company yet again had collected crores of rupees from hundreds of fresh aspirants. And, instead of facilitating their journey to the holy land, the company had locked its office at Khayam leaving innocent aspirants in the lurch.
