GNS JAMMU, MARCH 07 :-Mr. R. K. Jerath, Vigilance Commissioner, State Vigilance Commission, called on Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here today During their discussions, the Governor stressed the high importance of all required steps being timely taken for ensuring that the functioning of the State Vigilance Commission is placed on a sound footing. The Governor observed that the effective functioning of the SVC would have a vital bearing on the enhancement of accountability and good governance and, consequently, eradication of corruption.This was Mr. Jerath’s first meeting with the Governor after he recently took over as the Vigilance Commissioner. The Governor wished Mr. Jerath a very successful tenure ahead.
