GNS JAMMU ;Rich tributes were paid to former Minister & MLC & Vice President JKPCC Mr. Yash Paul Khajuria-MLC at a Shradhanjli function held at JDA Complex, Roop Nagar, Jammu, today. Handover Salal project to State: PDP GNS Reasi, : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today demanded that the Salal hydro electric project should be handed over to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Party also demanded that locals must be given priorities in on-going mega developmental projects in the state. GNS Poonch,   : Police has registered a case against Sarpanch of a Panachayat for beating an elected member of his Panchayat in full public view. The injured Panch has been admitted in district hospital Poonch for treatment. Beside other injuries on his body, the front teeth of the Panch are reported to have been broken by the Sarpanch. Giving details, sources said, Poonch police has registered a case against Sarpanch of Palera Panchayet in block Mandi. The case has been registered against Sarpanch Wali Mohammad Khan with Police station Mandi for his alleged attacking on Panch of his Panchayat identified as Aijaaz Ahmed. NAGPUR, DEC : 'Kashmir Problem and its Solutions', a book written by eminent lawyer and activist Justice MS Ratnaparkhi, was released here on Sunday. Having already written extensively about Indian politics as well as the state of Kashmir, the retired judge took more than five years to complete this new book. Narrating the story of unique merger of the former princely state into the Indian union, Justice Ratnaparkhi said, "many people have opinions about politics of the state without knowledge of its unique history." Former Supreme Court judge Justice V S Sirpurkar narrated his vision of the beautiful state through anecdotes. He observed the change in the psyche of an average Kashmiri. Warns against ignoring locals in recruitment in new projects GNS RAMBAN, DEC : Reiterating resolve of his party to make Jammu and Kashmir an economically self-reliant state, former Chief Minister and patron of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today demanded implementation of the recommendations of the working group headed by former RBI Governor C Rangarajan.
