Crime Branch Jammu produced challan in Fake PRC


GNS JAMMU The Crime Branch of J&K Police has produced challan in Case FIR No.25/2009 u/s 420, 465, 467, 468, 120-B RPC r/w section 5(2) P.C Act Svt. 2006 P/S Crime Branch, Jammu against the accused persons Paras Ram S/o Dharmu, Mangat Ram S/o Dharmu, Devi Ditta S/o Paras Ram, Kuldeep Kumar S/o Mangat Ram, Ramesh Kumar S/o Paras Ram all residents of Badrore, Jammu and Girdhari Lal R/o Trikuta Nagar, Jammu for preparing / obtaining / issuing fake Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs). 
Brief facts of the case are that Dr. Sarabjit Singh S/o S. Hargovind Singh R/o Gandhi Nagar, Jammu had lodged a complaint against the above mentioned accused persons for obtaining fake PRCs by fraudulent means from revenue authorities. The PRCs in question were sent to PRC commission for verification wherein the commission had observed that the PRCs were fake and fictitious and had not been issued on the basis of relevant records and had recommended for initiation of criminal proceedings against the accused persons. 
During the course of investigation the relevant records were obtained from quarters concerned and it was established that the PRCs had been issued by the revenue authorities after hatching a criminal conspiracy with the accused persons as the accused persons were not state subjects. The accused persons had tried to relate their family with the family of one Dharmu S/o Khushian R/o Chinore, Domana whereas the accused persons were sons /grandsons of one Dharmu S/o Jaggu R/o Badrore. The voter list of 1951 obtained from the revenue authorities also reflected the names of the accused as non state subjects (Gair Riasti Bashinday). The investigation of the case was completed and chargesheet presented before the Hon'ble Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Jammu for judicial determination wherefrom all the accused persons were sent to judicial custody by the Hon'ble Court and next date of hearing has been fixed on 28.12.2011.
