Sharma brothers powerful in Jammu politics

 If I am not wrong, Sharma brothers of Akhnoor tehsil in Jammu and 

Kashmir state are most powerful in the government of Jammu and 

Kashmir. It is not only my opinion, but the facts and the changes which take place time to time in the system of Jammu and Kashmir suggests that Sharma brothers are linked with the change . It has also been seen many times that government of Jammu and Kashmir can not take any major decision if Sharma brothers are not taken in to confidence .

The Sharma brothers in discussion are, Madan Lal Sharma member parliament Jammu-Poonch lok sabha constituency and his younger brother Sham Lal Sharma who is health minister in Jammu and Kashmir government.

As per sources, all political and administrative decisions are mainly taken by big brother    Madan Lal Sharma and younger brother makes sure that the decisions and dictates of big brother are implemented on ground . Not only at administrative level, even they have all say in Congress unit of Jammu and Kashmir and even JKPCC chief takes no decision without prior consent of Sharma brothers particularly big brother Madan Lal Sharma . It is also said that the aspirants of

political adjustments among Congress cadres in Jammu region do not approach directly to any senior leader of the party in centre or state, but they first get the blessing of Madan Lal Sharma in Jammu and then they can dream of anything . In fact, younger brother, Sham Lal Sharma was launched in politics by big brother Madan Lal Sharma in 2004 after Madan opted to join

Loksabha and he vacated his assembly seat and launched his younger brother  as MLA at his place . Since then, both the brothers have been heading without any obstacle and there seems no political threat to them in near future as well . At administrative level, Sharma brothers are really powerful in the system . and they have proved their might many times. We have latestexample here, SSP Jammu Mr. Annand Jain has been transferred by government without any delay as the same was desired by Sham Lal Sharma health minister and younger brother of Madan Lal Sharma Infact, Sham Lal Sharma had expressed his anguish and resentment against

the said officer few days ago when it was reported in the media that SSP Jain had pointed towards minister’s role in a  land dispute.  And it was also reported that Sham ji had threatened to an officer of police of dire consequences if he interfered in the land dispute . This is not first time that the Sharma bothers have taught lesson to the officers who do not take them seriously or work against their wish. Earlier too, In 2006, In the time of Ghulam Nabi Azad, Sharma brothers had got then DIG Jammu –Kathua range Niyaz Ahmed Mir suspended  because the said officer had not accommodated the candidates recommended by  Madan Lal Sharma  and his younger brother

Though while getting the officer suspended, Sharma brothers had leveled corruption allegations against him, but later it was found that the officer had not obliged them . In the fresh case, sources said, Sham Lal Sharma had threatened to Omar government to resign if the police officer was not transferred and punished . Even as per reports, chief minister’s two aides Devinder Singh Rana and Mos Home Nasir Aslam Wani had gone to the house of Sham ji o cool him down but  he remained strict on  his demand . And Sham ji got done what he desired and demanded . Not only this, Sharma brothers make their presence felt whenever and wherever they were ignored by any officer in the system . They never compromise on their dignity and have always made it sure that the elected persons are above to all. This is something good and must be appreciated if done for the sake of good . As per sources in the system, Sharma brothers have managed the postings of the people of their choice in each department wherever they needed . And any person

ignoring their wish and will is shunt out with immediate effect . In their respective constituencies, big brother Madan Lal Sharma who represents Jammu-Poonch an important Lokshaba Constituency, has kept intact his segment in the consecutive second term and there seems no

threat to him in the coming Loksabha elections . Similarly, his younger brother, Shaam Ji who is health minister of the state and MLA Akhnoor home constituency of Sharma brothers, has also kept his constituency intact and has done lot for his people . And it seems that his constituency is also secure and safe even more strong . The power and influence of Sharma brothers can be gauged with the fact that last year younger brother Shamji had even suggested the division of the state on communal lines which was protested by many circles and he was issued show cause notice by the party high command, but no body dared to sack him despite demanded by even Ghulam Nabi Azaad . Sources in Congress say that JKPCC Chief Prof. Saif-u-Din Soz take each decision after the proper consultation with Sharma brothers . In the political scenario of Jammu and Kashmir state, Sharma brother are considered most powerful in Jammu division .    Even they have shrunk  the space of Ghulam Nabi Azaad in Jammu division who has been undisputed congress leader in Jammu division till yesterday . Political analysts is of the opinion that if the things went smoothly as per their desire, there will be no wonder if  any of the Sharma brothers claim for chief ministerial berth   of the state .
