Commemorative stamp on Peerzada Gulam Ahmad Mehjoor Release soon.Soz



GNS Srinagar, Feb  22 : Prof. Saifuddin Soz MP (former Union Minister) & President Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has issued  statement to the press today:-
In press statement he said that“ It will be heartening to the people of Jammu & Kashmir particularly to the people of the Kashmir and Mehjoor lovers that the Govt. of India have accepted my proposal and decided to release commemorative stamp on Peerzada Gulam Ahmad Mehjoor.
The Government of India’s decision was conveyed to me recently and the commemorative stamp will be released any time during the year 2012. It will be recalled that I had made special mention on Shere-e-Kashmir Mehjoor in the Rajya Sabha during the last session and, thereafter, I had discussed this matter thoroughly with Shri Kapil Sibbal Hon’ble Union Minister of HRD who had lent support to my proposal.
I have requested HRD Minister especially philately division Department of Posts that the commemorative should be released at Srinagar, Kashmir ”.
