JK students meet Omar, Dr. Farooq

GNS New Delhi, February 09:A group of 160 students from Jammu & Kashmir met Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy Dr. Farooq Abdullah, here today. 
The youth of the age group of 15 to 24 years are on “Mission Wattan Ko Jano” sponsored jointly by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and State Rehabilitation Council, Jammu & Kashmir. 
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Abdullah called upon the young students to follow the path of truth, righteousness and secularism. He asked them to take advantage of vast opportunities available in the field of education and sports in the country. Specially emphasizing on energy saving, the Minister said that it is important to conserve the natural resources for sustainable development.  He praised the initiative “Mission Wattan Ko Jano” and said that such exposures help in improving understanding of youth about the world around them. He hoped that more such programmes would be undertaken in future. 
Omar Abdullah and Dr. Farooq Abdullah had detailed interaction with these students. The students narrated the experiences they had during their visit to different parts of the country and resolved to contribute in the progress of Jammu & Kashmir.
