Nasir for providing platform to budding artists

GNS JAMMU : Appreciating the talent of Young artists of the State, Minister of State for Tourism, Home, PHE, H&UD and Revenue, Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani has called for providing a Platform to the youth of J&K for tapping their hidden talent in a better way.
The Minister was addressing the concluding function of “5-days State young Artist Painter Camp” organised by   J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages at Kala Kendra.  
The Camp was held from 31 January to 4th Feb, 2012 in which 16 young artists across the state participated.
Mr Nasir said that government is exploring every possibility to provide opportunity to the youth at state and national level to prove their capability. He asked the Cultural Academy to work for channelizing the talent of artists in art, music and other activities as it is its basic mandate. He said that in future, the artists of the cultural Academy would be are being invited to the Travel Mart of Tourism department to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the state.
Earlier the Minister distributed certificates among the participants.
On the occasion, Commissioner Secretary Tourism and Culture, Mr Atul Duloo giving the resume of activities of the academy said that academy would hold such talent hunt shows at All India Level also in March, 2012 and cluster level in June and July in Ladakh.
