Canal caused pollution in the surrounding localities . Vice Ppresident JKPCC express


GNS Jammu, March 03:   Thakur Hari Singh-Vice President JKPCC expressed concern over the pollution due to delay in the de-silting of Ranbir Canal and demanded early starting of de-silting work.
In a statement issued here today Thakur Hari Singh said that the Canal has been closed for de-silting work but it has not been started so far. The garbage and filthy water in the canal has caused pollution in the surrounding localities of the canal, causing great inconvenience to the people.
He  urged upon concerned authorities to immediately start the de-silting work, so that it should be completed before 31st March, 2012, in order to remove the difficulties of farming community to irrigate their crops during summer season.
