JK Police handed over step father of Missing starlet's to Maharashtra police

GNS Jammu, July 7 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir Police Saturday handed over Parvez Tak, a suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba extremist and step-father of missing Bollywood starlet Laila Khan, to the Maharashtra Police for further questioning in the case of her mysterious disappearance.
Deputy Inspector General (Doda range) Gareeb Das told IANS over phone that the custody of Tak has been given to the Maharashtra police.
"Now, we would be waiting for the details that would emerge during his questioning by the Maharashtra police," he said.
Tak, a native of Kishtwar town about 230 km northeast of Jammu, was arrested June 21 after Laila Khan's vehicle was found in the town.
During interrogation, Tak made the revelation that Laila Khan - missing since February 2011 - had been killed along with four other members of her family and their bodies had been disposed of somewhere near Mumbai.
"We just have the statement of Pervez Tak on this, no physical evidence to substantiate that," said Gareeb Das.
