PDP shocked over demise of Peer Rafiq

GNS Jammu, July 8: Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed grief and shock over the demise of revered religious figure of South Kashmir, Peer Rafiq Ahmed. Peer Rafiq Ahmed, nephew of patron of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, passed away on Saturday.
A condolence meeting was held at the party headquarters here today in which all senior leaders of the party were present. Meeting condoled the sad demise of Peer Rafiq Ahmed and expressed their sympathy with the bereaved family.

PDP emerged a force in Twin border District of Poonch , Rajouri

GNS RAJOURI : The way opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) led by former JK Chief Minister and erstwhile union home minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayed has been emerging as a force in the border region of Poonch , Rajouri, is really a worrying situation for Congress and National Conference . It would be much better to say that the situation if more threatening for NC as compared to Congress as the region has always been strong belt of the former for decades . 6321 kanals of land transferred to CUs for creation of infrastructure: Malik

GNS JAMMU MAR,01 :Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik today informed the Legislative Assembly that about 4641 kanals and 4325 kanals of land has been indentified for the establishment of the Central Universities at Jammu and Kashmir respectively, out of which 3000 kanals and 3321 kanals stands transferred to these Universities. He said the process of transferring the remaining land is in progress. The Minister was replying to question of Mr. Yashpal Kundal in the House. The Minister said that the job of land survey and contour mapping has been assigned to Educational Consultants India Limited (EDCIL) after which master plans will be formulated and the construction work taken up.
