JK Yateem Foundation bags prestigious award


GNS Srinagar, Aug 24: Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Foundation (JKYF) has bagged the Resource Alliance India- The Rockefeller Foundation INDIA NGO Award under Rising Star category, for 2011.
Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ambika Soni presented the award to JKYF’s Patron Er Syed Abdul Hamid, at INDIA NGO AWARDS- 2011 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
Ambika Soni in her speech congratulated all the recipients of awards under different categories and stressed upon the NGOs to work sincerely, effectively and professionally for better results on ground.
The India NGO Awards 2011 is a joint venture of the UK based Resource Alliance India and US based The Rockefeller Foundation, Asia to reward the best non governmental organizations and seeks to promote good standards and practices in resource mobilization, accountability and transparency.
