Snake found in DC colony water pipeline

Lethargic attitude of the Public Health Engineering department Rajouri could be gauged due to the fact that a metre long snake was found in the pipeline supplying water for high profile Deputy Commissioner Colony in Rajouri.
Sources said that when high profile officers of Rajouri complained non supply of water for the last few days, PHE department came into action and started their operation of checking the faults in the pipeline. However all were surprised when a metre snake was found dead in the pipe near Deputy Commissioner Office here. The snake was pulled out and the water supply was restored. However it put question mark on the hygienic supply of water to the people of Rajouri.
PHE supply water from this pipeline to Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Superintendent Engineer, Senior Superintendent of Police, Executive, and Assistant Engineers of R&B besides local residents of ward no 2. The residents said that this is the situation of that water pipeline which is supplying water to VIP colony. They said that how they can trust on the PHE which supplying water to more than 40 thousand people of Rajouri town.
Sources said that there are open water sources in the area and PHE did not bother to cover these sources. Sources added that the water in this pipeline is supplied from Pumping Station Darhali Morh and the snake might have traveled about 2 kilometer in the pipe.
When contacted, Assistant Engineer PHE Sageer malik who present on the occasion said that they have recovered a dead snake from the pipeline and this might have put in the line by some miscreants. He said that their water sources is covered and they are using filters at the source. He said that the snake could not enter from source and it might have been put into the pipeline by miscreants to create havoc.
