GNS RAJOURI NOV 2: नए बस अड्डे पर बुधवार को तारकोल बिछाने गए नगरपरिषद के कर्मचारियों व अधिकारियों को भूमि मालिकों के विरोध का सामना करना पड़ा। भूमि मालिकों ने जमीन का मुआवजा कम देने का आरोप लगाकर मंत्री व नगरपरिषद के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन शुरू कर दिया। विरोध देखकर नगरपरिषद अधिकारी मौके से भाग गए। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही जिला आयुक्त मौके पर पहुंचे और उन्होंने लोगों को शांत कराया। पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है।
सलानी पुल के पास बने नए बस अड्डे पर बुधवार को तारकोल बिछाया जाना था, जिसका उद्घाटन स्थानीय विधायक व बिजली राज्यमंत्री शब्बीर अहमद खान के हाथों से होना था। इस संबंध में जब स्थानीय लोगों को सूचना मिली तो जमीन मालिक मौके पर पहुंच गए। उन्होंने भूमि का कम मुआवजा देने का आरोप लगाकर तारकोल डालने का विरोध शुरू कर दिया। उनका कहना था कि उन्हें बस अड्डे पर दुकानें देने का वादा किया गया था, लेकिन अभी तक वादा पूरा नहीं किया गया।
जमीन मालिक बद्रीनाथ, रशीद अहमद व एजाज अहमद ने बताया कि 2003 में जिला आयुक्त एमके द्विवेदी ने वादा किया था कि जमीन देने वालों को 37 दुकानें बस अड्डे पर दी जाएगी, लेकिन लोगों को एक भी दुकान नहीं दी गई। उन्होंने दुकान की लालच में 13 हजार रुपये मरले के हिसाब से जमीन दिया था, लेकिन अभी तक पूरी राशि का भी भुगतान नहीं किया गया। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि जब तक उनकी मांगें पूरी नहीं हो जाती वे बस अड्डे का कार्य शुरू नहीं होने देंगे। मंत्री को इस संबंध में जानकारी मिली तो वह उद्घाटन करने के लिए आए ही नहीं। वहीं, जिला आयुक्त गुलाम अहमद ख्वाजा मौके पर पहुंचे और उन्होंने लोगों को शांत करवाया। इसके बाद नगरपरिषद के अधिकारियों ने थाने में लोगों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज करा दिया।

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships. Guru execution reinforced feeling of injustice: Mehbooba 'Centre should revisit its Kashmir policy'

GNS Srinagar Feb 12:  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the execution of Afzal Guru and the manner of dealing with the fallout in Kashmir has resulted in reinforcement of the sense of denial of justice among the people here. In a statement Mehbooba said here today that there is a long standing grouse among the people in the state that they have been treated differently and unjustly at collective and individual levels when it came to application of law and constitution.
