GNS JAMMU December: A meeting of Mahilla Wing of Jammu Urban was held in PDP office Gandhi Nagar under the Chairmanship of Mrs Shanti Devi President PDP Mahilla Wing. While initiating the discussions Mrs Shanti Devi impressed upon the participants to be ready for Municipal Election was Jammu City and strengthen the party in all the wards and also project suitable candidates for the coming elections. Mrs Sushila Jamwal District President while speaking on the occasion urged all the participants to strengthen the hands of Mtr. Mehbooba Mufti , President PDP as she is the dynamic leader of the state who can come up to the expectations of the people of the state. In the meeting it was also stressed upon the workers to participate in the public meetings to be held in different parts of Jammu City on 10th, 15th and 18th instant as the same all to be addressed by Jenab Mufti Mohd Sayed, Patron PDP and Former Chief Minister J&K. The meeting was also attended by Anju Bhan, Arsha Rawat, Sarita, Sudesh, Indu Anand ,Veena Sangra, Swarna, Reeta and Madhu.
By Tahir Mushtaq (TNI) GNS JAMMU, : With Management of rising vehicles become a nightmare for the administration in the rapidly growing urban centers of Jammu and Kashmir, government has decided to formulate a comprehensive City Transport Policy for scientific management of the vehicles. Sources said that some private consultants are being hired by the Transport Department to do a detailed study of traffic pattern, road use and ways to deal with the jams at peak hours. Officials said that this will be for first time that such a detailed scientific study is being conducted in Jammu and Kashmir to effectively manage nearly 800000 vehicles which ply on the roads including thousands of floating vehicles which enter the state daily carrying pilgrims of Vaishno Devi shrine and other religious places in Jammu region. “To streamline the regulation of traffic smoothly in the cities of Jammu and Srinagar, a comprehensive City Transport Policy is being introduced very soon.
