Omar visits Hazratbal shrine



GNS SRINAGAR : Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Saturday visited Dargah, Hazratbal and reviewed the arrangements put in place by the administration and the Waqaf Board for the Holy occasion of Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
The Chief Minister paid obeisance at the shrine, prayed for peace and prosperity of the State and interacted with Zaireen. He directed the Waqaf Board and the officers of divisional administration to ensure all facilities to Zaireen during Milad days. He laid stress on ensuring cleanliness, power and water supply and adequate transport for the people.
Omar Abdullah also received brief about the arrangements made for Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) and development programmes under implementation in the area for beautification and upgradation of facilities, at a meeting of Waqaf Board there.
The Vice Chairman of Waqaf Board, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, various Members of the Board and other officers were present on the occasion.
Interacting with people on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that beautification of Hazratbal and upgrading various facilities in the area is priority concern of the Government.
Omar Abdullah conveyed greetings to the people on Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) and wished them happiness and prosperity.

People claimed that CRPF personnel even didn’t spare women and ch ildren and beat them to pulp. “CRPF personnel forced their entries into the houses and they even entered into Batamaloo Ziyarat and beat everyone whosoever came in the way,” a local from Batamaloo told on phone.Sister of Muslim League Chairman, Mushtaq-ul-Islam told on phone that their house was targeted by CRPF personnel and all the windowpanes were smashed by unbridled forces personnel. “There was no stone-pelting. Everything was calm. Suddenly we heard sound and saw CRPF personnel throwing marbles through catapult. They broke all the window panes of our house,” she said.
