Decision of government of India for upliftment of sports in JandK statupliftment of sports in Jammu and Kashmir stateexpressed.


GNS JAMMU AUG.  13:Mr. Narinder Gupta-PCC member has expressed joy over the decision taken by the government of India in connection with upliftment of sports in Jammu and Kashmir state. In this connection J&K State Sports Council and Jammu Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) two football matches of J&K Eleven verses Mohamdan Sporting Football Club Kolkata at Bakshi Stadium and another at Baramulla played and both the football matches were win by the J&K Eleven.
At Bakshi Stadium the match was watched by more than thirty thousand people and Hon’ble MOS Home Government of India, Hon’ble Chief Minister J&K and J&K Minister for Sports were also present during the match.
PCC Member Mr. Narinder Gupta who is also member of Jammu Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) met the Hon’ble Union MOS Home Mr. Jatinder Singh and invited him for the visit of Jammu and also demanded that the same kind of event in the field of sports should be organised in Jammu province.
Mr. Singh gave patient hearing and assured Mr. Gupta that the same pattern of event will be held in next couple of  months in Jammu. He also expressed the Union MOS Home that the welfare schemes should belaunched for the encouragement of players so that Jammu and Kashmir State produce some good sports person at national and international level.

6321 kanals of land transferred to CUs for creation of infrastructure: Malik

GNS JAMMU MAR,01 :Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik today informed the Legislative Assembly that about 4641 kanals and 4325 kanals of land has been indentified for the establishment of the Central Universities at Jammu and Kashmir respectively, out of which 3000 kanals and 3321 kanals stands transferred to these Universities. He said the process of transferring the remaining land is in progress. The Minister was replying to question of Mr. Yashpal Kundal in the House. The Minister said that the job of land survey and contour mapping has been assigned to Educational Consultants India Limited (EDCIL) after which master plans will be formulated and the construction work taken up. Govt. to conduct scientific study of the traffic management in J&K

By Tahir Mushtaq (TNI) GNS JAMMU, : With Management of rising vehicles become a nightmare for the administration in the rapidly growing urban centers of Jammu and Kashmir, government has decided to formulate a comprehensive City Transport Policy for scientific management of the vehicles. Sources said that some private consultants are being hired by the Transport Department to do a detailed study of traffic pattern, road use and ways to deal with the jams at peak hours.
