GNS Srinagar, March 5, : MLA Langate Engineer Rashid Tuesday reiterated his demand of plebiscite in the state assembly and said that if demanding plebiscite is a crime, he will commit it billion times and even if he is hanged every time and disqualified from the membership of legislature.Taking part in the discussion on Governor’s address in assembly, Er Rasheed said that if I m a Pakistani agent for demanding implementation of United Nation resolutions then Jawahir Lal Nehru too was an agent of Pakistan who took Jammu Kashmir issue to the United Nations. He asked the Legislatures that they should not become yes man of New-Delhi and should not try to misinterpret the historic facts regarding the Jammu Kashmir dispute . Er. Rasheed termed Senior PDP leader Muzaffar Husasain Beigh’s comment that those who want plebiscite should leave the assembly as an unfortunate and said that it has exposed PDP’s stand on dispute of Jammu & Kashmir. He said that Omar Abdullah and Mufti Mohammad Syed have come to know about their worth by writing two futile letters to befool Kashmiris to Prime Minister of India seeking return of Afzal’s mortal remains. He said that by throughing their letters in the dustbin, New-Delhi has shown Mufti Mohammad Syed and Omar Abdullah their right place. Er Rasheed asked them that they should feel sorry for the day and the role which they played in sabotaging my resolution two years back seeking clemency for Afzal Guru.He said I am optimistic that the way British Prime Minister David Cameron apologized for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre , one day Indian state will beg before Kashmiris to apologize murder of Maqbool Bhat , Afzal Guru, massacres of Bejbehara, Sopore, Gow-kadal and other dozens of such incidents. He said that NC and PDP has no right to make hue and cry on Afzal Guru issue and their crying make no sense and just an attempt to belittle his sacrifice . Er Rasheed said that Kashmiris will not beg for mortal remains of Afzal Guru and will wait for the day when the plebiscite will be held in Kashmir and the mortal remains of martyrs martyred outside state will be brought with due respect and regard. Er Rasheed said “Though Kashmiris had no confusion about BJP and other communal parties but the Afzal Guru’s murder has exposed so called secular congresees. Why did’nt Omar Abdullah resigned today when he was helpless to save life of innocent Mohammad Afzal Guru and played a drama few years back by offering to resign when Muzaffar Beigh accused him of his involvement in some alleged scandal.PDP and NC have failed to get back dead body of Afzal Guru and should not make a joke of themselves by demanding self-rule or autonomy as New Delhi through their every idea into the dustbin”. He said that if claims of NC and PDP of being largest parties be true, then they should accept the responsibility of bigger losses suffered at their hands by Kashmiris . He asked Omar and Mehbooba that how you claim to be the tall leaders when you are arrogant enough not to talk each other even once on phone in four years and even when innocent Afzal Guru is murdered. He asked New-Delhi that it was begging before Kashmiri people in 2010 mass uprising and asking them to carry out a peaceful political movement but once it assumes that things are back on the track, it imposes curbs and restrictions from Syed Ali Shah Geelani to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and from Mohammad Yasin Malik to Nayeem Ahmad Khan. Er Rasheed said that Afzal Guru’s murder was the referendum and by lodging strong protest against the murder, People of Jammu and Kashmir have proved that they are not integral part of India. Had Afzal Guru been a terrorist he would not have been treated as a great martyr by the people of the state. Er Rasheed was disrupted many times during his speech by Jammu based legislators.
