Superintendent DH bypasses GoI orders

Connect his residence with genset and left Blood Bank at the mercy of God GNS Report Rajouri Although a team of Central Government on July 17, 2010 had issued strict directions to Superintendent District Hospital Rajouri to install backup power supply from genset to the Blood Bank within a day, the same has not been installed for the last 3 months putting question mark on the efficiency of blood samples kept in the Bank. Instead of giving power backup to the Blood bank, Superintendent Dr Zahoor Shawl has reportedly managed power backup for his own office cum residence from the Hospital genset for which an amount of Rs 1.50 lakh have been spent on purchansing cables. Snake found in DC colony water pipeline

GNS Report Rajouri Lethargic attitude of the Public Health Engineering department Rajouri could be gauged due to the fact that a metre long snake was found in the pipeline supplying water for high profile Deputy Commissioner Colony in Rajouri. Sources said that when high profile officers of Rajouri complained non supply of water for the last few days, PHE department came into action and started their operation of checking the faults in the pipeline. However all were surprised when a metre snake was found dead in the pipe near Deputy Commissioner Office here. The snake was pulled out and the water supply was restored. However it put question mark on the hygienic supply of water to the people of Rajouri. Wildlife week in Rajouri

GNS Report Rajouri To aware public and especially students community about the advantage of wildlife for the human beings, Wildlife department Rajouri has kicked off programme to observe wild life week. The programme was inaugurated by Romesh Kumar, Divisional Forest Officer Rajouri Division where as large number of people including students and district officers were also present on the occasion. The programme started with debate and painting competition among the students of three schools and one hostel viz Government Middle School Jawahar Nagar, Government Middle School Boys Rajouri, Government Middle School Girls Rajouri and Gujjar & Bakerwal Hostel Rajouri. In the painting competition, Jai Chand student of Class 7th of Boys Middle School Jawahar Nagar clinched first position while Sonu Sayal class 7th student of same school stood at number 2 and Yogesh of Class 8th stood at number 3 in the competition.
