GNS Jammu , May 27:-Rich tributes were paid to first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on his death anniversary by the Congress party throughout the State. GNS JAMMU MAY 27 :Right  from the establishment of the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), erstwhile Institute of Correspondence Education in the  University of Jammu about forty years back, local printing presses  mostly registered as Small Scale Industrial Units have been performing  the job of printing Study Material published by the said  Directorate/Institute for different programmes offered by it. There  has been no problem either on the side of the DDE or on the side of  printers and every thing was going on smoothly, sometimes, printers  cooperating with DDE in case of non-availability of  printing/cover/ledger paper in the University store and hence  arranging the same from their own sources with the assurance that it  would be restored / reimbursed by the University later on. GNS Jammu, May 27: Patron of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and president of PDP Mehbooba Mufti have greeted Kashmiri Pandits on the auspicious occasion of the Khir Bhawani festival. In a message, PDP leaders said that Khir Bhawani festival is a shining example of communal harmony and brotherhood for which Jammu and Kashmir has been known for centuries past. While praying for the peace and prosperity of the State on this occasion, PDP leaders hoped that the Kashmiri Pandits would be very soon living with their Muslim brethren in the Valley as they had been living together since centuries.  They said that Kashmiri Pandits are part and parcel of the composite culture of Kashmir.
