Ransacked dozens of houses smashed window panes in Srinagar GNS SRINAGAR MARCH  07 :Violent protests erupted in North Kashmir’s frontier district after a CRPF vehicle allegedly crushed two youth.In Srinagar’s Batamaloo area CRPF allegedly ransacked dozens of houses and smashed window panes and doors. People claimed that CRPF personnel even didn’t spare women and ch ildren and beat them to pulp. “CRPF personnel forced their entries into the houses and they even entered into Batamaloo Ziyarat and beat everyone whosoever came in the way,” a local from Batamaloo told on phone.Sister of Muslim League Chairman, Mushtaq-ul-Islam told on phone that their house was targeted by CRPF personnel and all the windowpanes were smashed by unbridled forces personnel. “There was no stone-pelting. Everything was calm. Suddenly we heard sound and saw CRPF personnel throwing marbles through catapult. They broke all the window panes of our house,” she said.

GNS  Srinagar, March 07,: CRPF personnel went on a rampage in Mirzabagh residential campus of Kashmir University on Thursday and arrested a Scholar and the son of University employee. “It is for the first time that CRPF personnel dared to enter into the premises of University despite the fac t that University has its own Force supervised by a Dy SP,” University official told .The Scholar identified as Basharat Ahmed (P.hd Environmental Science) and the other youth were lodged in Police station Nigeen where top University officials reached to sort out the matter. “We are on it and trying to find out under which circumstances the Scholar and other youth was arrested and why they were beaten. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here today During their discussions, the Governor stressed the high importance of all required steps being timely taken for ensuring that the functioning of the State Vigilance Commission is placed on a sound  footing.
