School under lock for last five months

GNS Report, In between dispute of a family with the education department on the construction of a School, the future of 44 students enrolled in Government Primary School Mehraj Pura in Rajouri district is on stake as the school is under lock for the last five months and the students are receiving education under the shade of trees. Sources said that a family had locked Government Primary School Mehraj Pura Saaj in Thanamandi Education Zone of Rajouri district claiming that the land on which the school is constructed belongs to them. The family members said that they had been assured by the department that their one family member will be engaged as Cook in the school as compensation of land given by them but after passage of years no one was engaged which forced them to put lock on the school. WWF organized two Symposiums on Environment

GNS Report, October 28 World Wildlife Fund (WWF) India in collaboration with Himalayan Voice & Modern Cultural club Rajouri organized two Symposiums on Environment and Wild Life Conservation Issues in border areas of Rajouri and Poonch. In Rajouri Symposium was held at Government Degree College Thanamandi where SD Singh, IPS DIG Police Rajouri - Poonch was the Chief Guest and was presided over by Professor Satinder Singh Principal GDC Thanamandi. On the occasion Dr. Ashfaq Zarri, Professor Neeraj and Pankaj Chandan, Programme Manager WWF, briefed the technicalities of the conservation. Prominent among those spoke included Prof Shakeel Raina, Prof Asif and Rajiv Khajuria CF, MCC. About 12 students of College also spoke on the Occasion. GNS report Mendhar, October 28 Mohammed Latif, a resident of Kela Marh, tehsil Mendhar, district Poonch who was absconding was arrested by police today. It is pertinent to state here that 512 Judicial Munshiff Court has issued summons against him and a case was filed against him under FIR no 208/99 under section 779 of RPC. Kidnapped girl recovered at LoC Poonch, October 28 A girl aged 16 years, who was kidnapped on October 21 this month was recovered by police. The girl was kidnapped by a boy namely Mohammad Shaqeel of 20 years, a resident of Nabda, Suronkote. The police team led by SHO Gosain Inspector Mohd Maroof. The police arrested the boy and the girl was recovered from Poonch when both of them were triying to cross LoC at Poonch.
