POLICE REGISTERS FRESH CASE AGAINST HAJEEJ :

GNS JAMMU 01 NOV : The Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered a fresh case against the infamous Hajeej Travels company for allegedly duping Haj aspirants once again. Appreciating the intervention of Director General (DG) of Police in the infamous duping case of the Hajj aspirants, the aspirants have demanded strict action against the owners of the Hajjeej Company. Sources told, after duping the Hajj aspirants in year 2011, Hajjeej owners Abdul Wahid Gilkar and his two sons Faiban and Arsalan again duped Hajj aspirants this year. Duped aspirants Chairman Ghulam Hassan along with other duped aspirants told that they had they had paid the amount in advance in July 2011 and they had paid more 30,000 rupees to the company as was assured more facilities and less distance from the Makkah. “The trio disappeared as the Hajj departure time came nearer”, said Hassan. Police register robbery case against Army personnel

GNS SRINAGER  01 NOV.: A robbery case has been filed against a group of unidentified army personnel in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, police sources said on Thursday.   The case was registered yesterday after several people alleged that the Army personnel thrashed them and snatched away their money, the sources said.  The FIR has been registered under Sections 392 (robbery), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Ranbir Penal Code.  At least 10 persons, including two employees of the Department of Animal Husbandry, were injured in the incident, the sources said.   The Army, however, has denied involvement of any of its personnel in the incident.  "Our troops were not involved in the incident...We are investigating who the culprits are," an Army official said.  Srinagar-based defence PRO Lt Colonel JS Brar said he was not aware of any such incident.
