Tahir Mushtaq (TNI) GNS JAMMU ,: The centre government has sanctioned 43 crore rupees for the repairing of the associate hospitals of Government Medical Colleges in Jammu and Srinagar. Official source said that resources are mobilized to start the work next fiscal year and the centre has sanctioned crores of rupees for the same project. Sources said that every year routine repairs of assets of Medical Colleges including associated hospitals Jammu /Srinagar are carried out of Plan and Non-Plan funds allocated every year. He disclosed that during 2010-11 Rs. 3.25 crores and Rs. 1.09 crore were made available for Medical Colleges and associated hospitals Jammu and Srinagar respectively for the said purpose. It is pertinent to mention here there is a great need to renovate these hospitals as from the long time no such work has been done, due to which patient suffers.
