GNS Jammu , July 22 :     President INTUC J&K State Mr.     Shiv Kumar Sharma described labour class as back bone of the development and economic progress of the State     and said that     State Unit of INTUC is committed to the welfare and protect the rights of labour class people.     He said that INTUC has its existence in nook and corner of the State and represents all sections of the society. Mr. Sharma was addressing series of meetings of Water Works PHE Employees Associations at Kishtwar, Gandoh and Ramban. He said that the INTUC has always advocated the welfare of labour class in the economic and socio progress of the State. GNS Srinagar  , July 22 :: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti today visited the dargah of Hazarat Baba Hanifudin at Rathsuna Beerwa which was gutted in a fire incident recently. Negligence of Municipality may cause hazards: Awake India

GNS Poonch: A meeting of members of Awake India (Trust) was organized here to draw the attention of concerned authorities towards the menace of polythene and blocked drainage system in the city. Ayaz Mughal, who was presiding over the meeting, said how polythene is creating mess for us in day to day life. Mughal said thatthe Municipality in Poonch has closed its eyes and ears to the menace of polythene in Poonch. Vendors are using the polythene in the city flaying away the laws.  Drainage system is blocked upto the edges and is leveled with the roads and pathways. During the rainy seasons water level rises and run out of drains resulting traffic jam. It creates dangerous pits, destroy the roads and at some places wipe out it completely. Shortage of life saving ventilators in GMC Inquiry committee says no discrepancies in purchase of ventilators

BY TAHIR MUSHTAQ  GNS JAMMU, July 22: The enquiry committee which was constituted regarding the discrepancy in purchase of ventilators in the emergency ward of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has said that there is no discrepancies in their purchase.  Talking to TNI In-Charge Principle, GMCH Jammu, Dr. Aniece Chowdhary said that in both the reports the allegations concerning scam of ventilators in new emergency block have proved false.  Dr Chowdhary maintained as per the reports the missing ventilators from the block are actually under repairing.  It is pertinent to mention here that the after the reply of one of the RTI filed by Som Nath Dabgotra seeking information regarding the quality, quantity, cost and name of purchasing committee of equipment installed in new emergency block of GMCH.  As per the reply of RTI there should be 14 ventilators in New Emergency Block of GMCH but now at present there are only eight ventilators installed.  Moreover D
