Government to mull Ordinance for management of Valley Temples: Omar

GNS Jammu, April 19 :– Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has directed the Revenue Department to prepare a note for Cabinet for promulgation of Ordinance for the protection and management of Temples in Kashmir Valley.  “You should come up with a note on the subject as early as possible for the clearance of the Cabinet so that the same would be presented to the Governor for promulgation of the Ordinance accordingly”, he told the department adding that the Bill in this regard would be tabled in the next session of the legislature in Srinagar subsequently. Chairing the meeting of Apex Advisory Committee for Kashmiri Migrants here, the Chief Minister also directed for setting in motion the process of creation of additional 3000 posts for Kashmiri migrant students. Life dislocated in major parts of Srinagar : PDP

GNS Srinagar, April 19:::  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed deep anguish at the dislocation caused in major portions of srinagar city as a result of government apathy and slow pace of execution in drainage and raod projects. In a joint statement leaders of the party Naeem Akhtar and Syed Mohd Altaf Bukhari have said a large population in Hazratbal, Zadibal, Soura,Buchpora, Lalbazar and  Eidgah  areas are facing acute problems of accessibility as most of the roads have been dug up in these areas years back to construct drains but never completed. J&K imports 15 lakh sheeps and goats for mutton every year

By Tahir Mushtaq GNS JAMMU, Apr 19: Nearly 15 lakh sheep and goats are imported into Jammu and Kashmir every year for mutton at a cost of Rs 1,500 crore.  Officials said that due to the less production of the meat, poultry and eggs in J&K, state has to trade in these products from the outside to fulfill the need of the people.
