Coalition fighting with each other, people: Mehbooba

  GNS SRINAGAR  : : Opposition Peoples Democratic Party President Monday said that ruling alliance was involved in fighting with each other and the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “From the start, this government has remained involved in fighting. 50 per cent children facing mal-nutrition in J&K: Survey

Tahir Mushtaq  GNS JAMMU, : A survey carried by Red Cross in Jammu district has shown that 50 per cent of the school going children in the district are facing meal-nutrition and other health problems.  Two year long survey was carried out in 2,659 educational institutions and Anganwari centers covering nearly 2 lakh children in the age group of 3-10 years. Around one lack  children have been found suffering from various minor ailments or over stressed due to the pressure of studies.  Officials said that while children in rural areas are facing minor malnutrition, their counterparts in the urban center are facing anemia or weak eye sight, but health wise they are better off than villages.  A senior Health official said that the survey has given an accurate picture about the situation and a detailed project, to comprehensive medical treatment to the targeted lot, along with the help of the education department, is being implemented.  Director Health Dr Madhu Khullar said tha

People protest against the killing of youth and girl critical injured in Rajouri.Advocate untraced after hitting bike

GNS RAJOURI : In a filmy style after chasing the bike on which a youth and a girl were riding, another youth, an advocate by profession, allegedly hit the motor-cycle twice killing one of them on the spot and causing critical injuries to another in Rajouri town here last night. The public and relatives of the deceased youth Mohd Tahir (19) and critically injured girl-Lubna Kouser (23), staged protest demonstration at Gujjar Mandi  and blocked road for about two hours demanding arrest of the accused, Imtiaz, son of Mohd Ashraf, a District Youth Congress leader and younger brother of  Iftikhar Ahmed a senior leader of NSUI and newly elected  chief  election commission of  Indian Youth National Congress. They demanded that a murder case be registered against the accused and two others sitting with the prime accused in the vehicle (Mahindra Xylo). They alleged that police only registered a case of hit and run and failed to arrest the accused despite the fact that it all happened in
