Soz deeply condoled the sad demise of a veteran journalist Suraj Saraf.

GNS Jammu , President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee and former Union Minister Prof. Saifuddin Soz-MP has deeply condoled the sad demise of a veteran journalist Mr. Suraj Saraf. In a condolence message Prof. Soz described Mr. Saraf a prolific writer who contributed a lot in the field of journalism and made a niche in the field by the dint of hard work and devotion. His death has created a vacuum in the Journalistic field in the state. He expressed sympathies with the Saraf family. He prayed for peace to the departed soul and sympathy with the bereaved family. Senior functionaries of Pradesh Congress Committee have also condoled the death of Mr. Saraf and conveyed their heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family. PCC urged state government to accelerate relief and rescue measures in far-flung areas

GNS Jammu , Jammu and Pradesh Congress Committee has urged the state government to accelerate its relief and rescue measures in far-flung and affected areas including in Dudu Basantgarh area of Udhampur district. In a statement PCC General Secretary & Spokesperson PCC Mr. Ravinder Sharma-MLC has said that representatives of district and block congress committees of Udhampur district especially the far-flung area of Dudu Basantgarh have reported that so far no relief, rescue & rehabilitation measures have been initiated in the area despite repeated requests to the local administration. The local Congress units have met the District administration four days back from Basantgarh, Lodha and Landel Bambyal areas led by Shri Surinder Khajuria-Advocate and the local people cleared the helipad of Basantgarh also as per the request of the administration but so far no supply of essential accommodates has reached the area, neither road communication has been cleared, as being reporte

332 kanals of land belonging to J&K under illegal occupation across India

By Tahir Mushtaq  GNS JAMMU, : Nearly 1332 kanals of land owned by Jammu and Kashmir across the country is under the occupation of the respective state governments or individuals, while the state has been unable to take back the possession of its property with most of the sites facing court cases.  Be it 100 kanals of land under the occupation of the Defense forces at Raja ji Marg, New Delhi, 1200 kanals at Sarsa and 32 kanals at Amritsar, government has so far not dared to evict the occupants who have almost galloped the property of the state.  As per the data not only the land but the building and other assets belonging to the state are also under the illegal occupations as in most of the cases the lease deeds signed with parties have expired.  Chandigarh, Sector 17: The Property which is under the possession of the Labour Ministry, Government of Punjab has not given any positive response to vacate the land despite repeated reminders by the J&K government in recent
