Govt to withdraw Dogra certificate order soon by Inderjeet S Manawari GNS Rajouri, April 25 The Government has formally decided to withdraw the order for issuance of Dogra certificate to Dogri speaking people of Jammu region in the aftermath of an announcement by the Union Home Ministry declaring all three regions of Jammu and Kashmir including Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh as entitled to relaxation in chest and height for recruitment in the Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Sources in the State Government confirmed that the Government has, in principle, decided to withdraw Dogra certificate as it was of the view that it has been rendered redundant after the fresh order issued by the Union Home Ministry at the behest of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Democracy in Jammu and Kashmir has been limited

By Mudasser GNS Srinagar, Apr 25: Peoples Democratic Party chief, Mehbooba Mufti, Friday said the democracy in Jammu and Kashmir has been limited to conduct of polls with everybody celebrating the turnout. “Though the people in Kashmir have time and again put their lives in risk to support the democratic process, they had always to face hopelessness. It is ironic that the people who empower the institutions by coming out to cast their vote are rendered powerless after the same elections,” Mehbooba said at a press conference here today. ByTahir Mushtaq (TNI) GNS REPORT: Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) is one of the major hospitals in Jammu, catering the vast population of the state, but it fails to fulfill some of the basic needs of the people coming from different part of the state. One such glaring example which shows how much the department is concern about common masses, is unavailable in the hospital is the safe drinking water. The concern administration has installed about eight water coolers in the hospital, but nowadays there are only one or two coolers in working condition. Besides this there are two more water coolers being installed by some private organization which are outside the hospital. Everyday thousands of patients visit GMCH in Out Patient Department (OPD) and In Patient Department (IPD) for treatment in different departments functioning in the hospital. The patients from new and old emergency block, emergency ward besides recovery ward, digester ward, emergency lab, x-ray room all
