1006 Intoxicant capsules recovered, 2 drug peddlers held

GNS JAMMU Feb, 01 : To eradicate social evils from the society, Kathua Police seized huge intoxicant capsules about 1006 and arrested drug peddlers being involved to supply illegal consignment to the youths in the adjoining areas of the district.The accused have been identified as Manjeet Singh S/O Jagdev Singh R/O Barwal Tehsil Distri ct Kathua and Surinder Singh S/O Kashmir Singh R/O Amala Tehsil Hiranagar District Kathua .Reports revealed that on a specific information Police during patrolling at Kharote Morh apprehended two persons and recovered 1006 Capsules of Par-Van-Spas from their Possession. A case FIR No- 40/2013 U/S 8/21/22/27/29 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Kathua and investigation started.

CBI Presents 5Th Chargesheet In MBBS ,BDS Scam

GNS JAMMU, FEB 1 , 2013: As Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) presented fifth chargesheet in MBBS-BDS impersonation scam involving kith and kin of politicians, a senior National Conference (NC) leader and a former minister Ram Pal today appeared in the court and procured bail. After completion of investigation, fifth chargesheet was today filed in the court of Special Municipal Magistrate Jammu by Inspector B B Sharma, Investigating Officer of the case, official reports said.  The first chargesheet of the case was filed on August 28, 2012 in the Court of Special CBI Magistrate (CJM) Jammu.  Nine persons including Ram Pal son of Ram Rakha, his son Lovish Bharat, Vandana Sagotra and Chander Kanta Sagotra both daughters of Sain Das, Shahzeb son of Mohammad Khatib of Bareli Uttar Pa rdesh, Shanawaz Hussain son of Bashir Ahmed of Bathindi, Mohammad Aziz of Narwal (Jammu) and Abdul Mubeen son of Hifizullah of Lucknow were arrayed as accused. Roaring start to SaMaPa Aalap 2013 with Ragini Rainu’s Sufi recital

GNS JAMMU FEB. 1 2013 :The 8 th   Annual ‘SaMaPa Aalap Festival' presented by the SaMaPa(Sopori Academy of MusicAnd Performing Arts) commenced with a roaring Sufi recital by the young Sufi Songstress of India Ragini  Rainu.
