Congress Leader Ravinder Sharma-MLC denied that JKPCC Chief Soz..blamed National Conference

GNS Jammu , April 23:  PCC General Secretary & Spokesperson Mr. Ravinder Sharma-MLC has denied that JKPCC Chief Prof. Saifuddin Soz, blamed  National Conference for creating hurdles in empowerment of Panchayats in the state.   Reacting to the news reports appearing in a section of press today, regarding the statement of PCC Chief, during the course of interaction with a delegation of Sarpanchs and Panchs at Rajouri, yesterday. PCC Spokesperson Mr. Ravinder Sharma, who was also present in the said meeting, stated that Prof. Soz had  explained the position of the Congress party viz- a –viz the 73 rd  Amendment of the Constitution  and said that Congress favours its implementation in the state or adoption of its provisions in the state Panchayat Raj Law, wherever required. Ex-JJSF chairman joins PDP

GNS Jammu, April 23: Former Chairman of Jammu Joint Students Federation (JJSF) Kuljeet Singh Jamwal today joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the presence of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Other senior leaders of PDP including former Minister Abdul Aziz Zarger, Abdul Rehman Veeri, MLA. Falail Singh, Ashok Jogi, R K Bali and other leaders were also present on the occasion. Jamwal is a prominent student leader of Jammu region and is associated with a number of social and youth organizations. PDP demands free electricity for residents of erstwhile Doda district

       GNS C hatroo (Kishtwar), April 23: Expressing concern over non availability of basic amenities to the residents of Kishtwar district, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) demanded that besides giving employment to the locals, free electricity should also be given to the people of erstwhile Doda district because they have first right on the water flowing from their area. Addressing a public meeting at Chatroo in Kishtwar area PDP leader Sartaj Madni pointed out the mega hydro electricity projects are being constructed in this belt but the locals are not getting benefits of such projects. He especially mentioned towards acute shortage of water and electricity being faced by the inhabitants of this belt. “It is unfortunate that other parts of the country are benefited from the power generated by the projects located in this belt but the natives of this place are struggling to get power, even for a couple of hours throughout the day”, he mentioned and regretted that local residents a
