Extra marital affair of husband, wife tortured & beated for not leaving the in-laws home

.GNS RAJOURI, NOV 8 ;A twenty seix years old women Shaheen Akther of village palma in border district Rajouri had dreams of a happy married life. When she married Idress Ahmed of village Palma. Six months aftertrying the knot there is a wife gulf between the couple."Soon after I entered the house of my in-laws, my torture started. I came to know that my husband had an extra-marital affair. I was beaten up whenever I objected to it," said Shaheen a, tears welling up her eye. Seven years ago ShaheenAkhter was married to Idress Ahmed son of Dil Mohammad . After one year of his marriage, Idrees went to Saudi Arabia for work promising the young wife to come back soon after handsome earnings . However, with in six months of his stay at abroad,Idrees married an other girl there . Shaheen says, " My husband told me on phone that he has married to other girl and asked me to go back. I was astonished to know it . The news was like a quake for me".Shaheensays , but she decided not to leave the house till he comes back . " In this wait I have passed seven years . During this period , he tried his best with the help of his parents and brothers to torture me mentally and physically , but despite facing all this I never stepped out from the house of my in-laws." Shaheen says, finally when he found that I was not leaving his house , only last month he came back and started beating her . " Despite all this , I tried my best not to leave the house . But on Sunday night , he crossed all limits and tried to kill me , but any how I saved my life by escaping from his clutches". On Sunday night she was tied with an rope and was tortured from head to toe with all means . Though , police has registered a case in this regard vide FIR NO 584/2011 u/s 498A and 323 RPC with police station Rajouri, but Shaheen has no hope of justice saying that she has been praying before them for the past six years but police never took any action . She says , during these all torture years, she many times prayed before so-called woman cell of Rajouri police but they too succumbed before money .However , in the latest action of torture , SSP Rajouri Vijay SinghSamyal assured the victim that he will look this case personally and it was only after his directions that after six years police has registered the complaint of this woman . Now Shaheen appeals the woman rights organizations to visit the torture cell she has passed seven years in . Shaheen says that she has lost all hopes and now pins latest on woman rights organizations if any in the world .

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships. PDP Legislature Party concerns over, prevailing situation in Kashmir Valley

GNS  Jammu, March  07: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed serious concern over the indiscriminate arrest and other coercive measures resorted to by the government in an unsuccessful effort to quell protests in Kashmir.
