Pradesh Congress Committee condoled the sudden demise of Yash Pal Khajuria-MLC


GNS Jammu, Dec:Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has  deeply condoled the sudden demise of Mr Yash Pal Khajuria-MLC and Vice President Pradesh Congress Committee . Mr. Khajuria expired yesterday evening and was cremated at Jogi Gate Cremation Ground Jammu, today afternoon.
In a condolence meeting held at PCC HQ. here today under the Chairmanship of PCC President Prof. Saifuddin Soz-MP, the PCC expressed profound grief and shock over the untimely demise of Mr. Khajuria. Prof. Saifuddin Soz described him as a dedicated and sincere solider of the party who devoted his entire life in the service of people and the Congress party. He was known in the party rank and file for his simplicity, honesty, integrity, commitment and dedication towards the service of people, especially the downtrodden and poor. He rose to the position in the party from the youth congress cadre by the dint of his hard work and always held important assignments in the organization. He never shirked from any responsibility assigned to him by the party and was presently Chairman of the Panchayat Raj Sangathan apart from Vice President of the party and was also observer of the AICC in Udhamsinghnagar and Almora districts of Uttrakhand state.
Two minutes silence was observed in the meeting to pray for peace to the departed soul and strength to the family members to bear this irrepairable loss.
Earlier, Prof. Saifuddin Soz specially flew from Delhi to attend his cremation. He straightway went to the residence of  Khajuria at Roop Nagar  Jammu and conveyed his personal condolences to the bereaved family. He attended the cremation at 03:00 p.m. at Jogi Gate Jammu. A large number of people from all walk of life attended his cremation.
Condolence meeting was attended by Ministers, Legislators and Senior leaders of the PCC, DCC, Block Presidents, Frontal organizations and cells.
Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare  Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad also flew from Delhi and visited the residence of Mr Khajuria to pay his condolences and console the family members.
Meanwhile, PCC President has cancelled the scheduled tour of Rajouri district later this week in the wake of death of senior leader of the party.

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships.
