Editor and journalist counsel Body Reconstitute . Sood , Shafqat and Shakti Elected as president ,Sr vice president n Gen. sect.



GNS Rajouri, Feb 26 : In an emergency meeting of editor and journalist counsel convened on Sunday under the chairmanship of senior journalist Mr Shayaam Sood, Rajouri journalists constituted a body. Total 31 members were included in the journalists association with senior journalist Shayaam Sood as president and Mr Shakti Sharma 
as General Secretary  . As per the press release issued by Rajouri journalists council, total 31members of journalist community participated in the meeting which was convened with an aim to discuss the issues of journalist 
community . After long deliberations, a body of Rajouri based journalists was formed which will look after the issues being faced by the journalists working in this border region .  As per the election results, Mr Shayaam Sood  from print media was elected president while Mr Shakti Sharma of electronic media was unanimously elected as General Secretary of the organisation . Other officer bearers elected on the occasion were Mr Shafqat Wani as senior vice president, Jabaar Chowdhary senior vice president and Imran Qayoom Lone as vice president . Where as Mr Ravi Verma, Madhur Gupta, Sajaad Chowdhary, and Dalfi Kumar were elected as secretary ,cashier , joint secretary and organising secretary respectively .  An advisory committee of journalists was also nominated on the occasion in which Mr Gafoor Bhat, Abid Malik , Shahbaaz Khan , Vinod Gupta and Gulzaar Jaafri were included . Other members included in the organisation were Aijaaz Mirza, Rakesh Kumar,Amit Sharma, Sushil Sharma, Riaz Chowdhary, Vishaal Sharma, Atul Gupta, Kanu Badyal, Iftkhaar Chowdhary, Tanveer Qureshi, Astha Mehta, Munish Mehra and Mushtaq Chowdhary . After being elected as president, Shayaam Sood assured the journalist community that he would do his all efforts to work for the betterment of the media community in this border region . Senior vice president Shafqat Wani said that the organisation will make all efforts to present good and honest picture of media among the masses . Similar views were expressed by General Secretary Shakti Sharma .

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships. Divisional Commissioner Jammu gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured them that he will look into the matter personally and keep in touch with the concerned authorities for regular supply of electricity.
