''No single party is in a position to resolve the Kashmir issue at an individual level: 

GNS Baramulla 07 March : Former Minister and Member AICC Abdul Gani Vakil today said that ''No single party is in a position to resolve the Kashmir issue at an individual level and everybody has to understand that Kashmir issue can only be resolved when all the parties including separatists will sit together taking into consideration the aspirations of all the three regions then only a genuine and permanent solution will come out by consensus. Mr. Vakil said  dialogue is only platform to move ahead to resolve all issues relating to Jammu and Kashmir amicably in accordance with the aspirations of the people of State. Vakil said If any party alone tries to make the people believe that they can resolve the Kashmir issue then, it is only be-fooling them,'' he added. Mr. Vakil was addressing party District Convention at Sheerwani Hall Baramulla.


Vakil said “Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi has envisioned Khushhaal Jammu and Kashmir which would be an inspiration for other states of the country. For her (Mrs. Gandhi), Jammu and Kashmir has to become a model state on all accounts,” asserted Vakil. He said that it is we (People of J&K) who have to change destiny of this nation. He said Congress committed to equitable development along with peaceful and respectable settlement of all pending issues,” added Vakil. 
While hardening his stand against corruption in the state, the former Minister said Congress cannot be silent on corruption issue as this has made life of poor people miserable and Government should leave no stone unturned in eradicating corruption menace so that common man gets justice. Mr. Vakil said it would be the biggest achievement of present Government headed by Omar Abdullah but at the same time he appreciated role of Chief Minister in eradicating corruption by taking serious steps in this regard.
He said Corruption is the main factor which is responsible for distancing people especially youth from the mainstream. He appealed all nationalist and patriotic forces to get united for supporting the government for eradication of corruption which is eating into the vitals of our society. "My fight is not against any individual but it is against corruption” Vakil Maintained.
He stressed upon the Chief Minister to fulfill his commitment of absorbing 50,000 youth in different departments

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships. Divisional Commissioner Jammu gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured them that he will look into the matter personally and keep in touch with the concerned authorities for regular supply of electricity.
