BSF SCHOOL ANNUAL FUNCTION – A COLOURFUL AFFAIR

GNS JAMMU MAY 15 :BSF School Jammu celebrated its annual cultural fiesta 2012 .The theme of Annual Day this year was ‘Nai Soch Ki Nai Subah’.
The function commenced with meticulous performance of a prayer dance ‘Devi Vandana’ by students to invoke the blessings of Almighty God. An impressive Guard of Honour was presented to IG BSF Frontier Headquarter Jammu Sh A K Jain by school cadets. 
Principal BSf School Jammu, Dr S S Khokhar read out the schools’ annual report highlighting the prominent achievements of the school during this academic year in scholastic and co-scholastic areas and reiterated the importance of parental engagement and management’s support in partnership with the school. He further apprised the audience by announcing the introduction of Smart Classes, expansion of Infrastructure with introduction of A/V room and most significantly Phonetic lab which promises to be the best among all schools of the region.
The function took flight with ‘Taare Zameen Par’. The performances titled ‘Qawali’ and Environmental dance  were among others. ‘Kheden De Din Chaar’ touched everyone’s heart  with a wonderful depiction of the plight of a girl child. Ballet in the form of emotional dance performance left the audience clapping without a pause.The students of Junior and Senior wing showcased their ability with ‘Tu Hi Tu’ (Nari Shakti) and ‘Goan Dance’
The Chief Guest Sh A K Jain distributed prizes to meritorious students in the field of academics and sports. In his address to august gathering, IG BSF Sh A K Jain, appreciated the conducive learning environment created in the school. He pointed out that BSF school Jammu glitters like a diamond among all the BSF Schools under the able guidance of Dr S S Khokhar. He gave the credit to the Principal, the Parents and the staff for the schools’ achievements and expressed a great delight and Pride over the growth.
Bhangra sent the energy levels soaring among the audience and they were left spellbound by the students performances. The school wore a festive look and presented a feast for the eyes, by presenting the cultural bonanza of melody and ballet to mark its Annual Day Celebration.
The event concluded with vote of thanks rendered by Headmaster BSF Primary School and BSF Pariwar Song leaving behind the promise of a handful of brighter hues the next year.

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships. Divisional Commissioner Jammu gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured them that he will look into the matter personally and keep in touch with the concerned authorities for regular supply of electricity.
