JKCC condoled the demise of Dharam Pal close relative of Former Deputy CM Pt Mangat Ram Sharma.


GNS Jammu,  May 17 :Jammu & Kashmir  Pradesh Congress Committee has condoled the demise of Shri Dharam Pal close relative of Former Deputy Chief Minister Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma of Nagri-Kathua.
A condolence meeting was also held at Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu under the chairmanship of Shri Dharam Pal Sharma-Ex-MP Senior Vice President PCC, in which deep shock and grief was. expressed over the demise Shri Dharam Pal, General Secretary DCC Kathua. The meeting conveyed  heartfelt condolences to the  members of bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul in heaven.
President JKPCC Prof. Saifuddin Soz-MP in a telephonic message has conveyed his deep condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul in heaven.
Prominent among those who condoled  the death included S/Shri Thakur Hari Singh, S. Gurmukh Singh, Prem Sagar Aziz, Mula Ram, Lal Mohammad Sabir (Ex-Minister), MLC Ravinder Sharma, MLC Subash Gupta, Shri G. L. Chalotra, Hari Singh Chib, S.R.Sudhir, Manmohan Singh, D.S.Langeh, Ravi Singh Slathia, Narinder Gupta, Opinder Karihuloo, Smt. Padmani Langeh, P. S. Chouhan, Mian Nazir Ahmed, V.K. Sethi, Sanjiv Sharma, Dr. Kanwal Singh, Dr. Karan Bhagat and others.

Water mapping survey disappoints state planners

Tahir Mushtaq  GNS JAMMU, Mar 03: The much awaited water mapping survey conducted to find new sources of ground water in Jammu and Kashmir by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has found that most of the water reserves are unsuitable for human consumption. Sources said that the remote sensing technology survey carried out by the government with the help of ISRO has found high level of iron and fluoride contents in the underground sources of water found in the state.  The report says that many of the newly found underground water channels have been found at inaccessible locations, which need sophisticated technology to extract, beyond the range of equipment what the engineers are using in the country at the moment.
