Corruption Galore in Education Department

Chief Education Officer in Rajouri has managed illegal attachments of blue eyed clerks at various zones allegedly to collect commissions of Mid Day meal. Lakhs of rupees are being allegedly digested by the CEO in connivance of his clerks every month. Some teachers of the schools have confirmed collection of commission by the authorities in Rajouri. As per reports, Chief Education Officer has managed attachment of one Head Clerk Nazir Hussain from Zonal Education Office Sunderbani to ZEO Office Peereh. Although there was blanket ban on the attachments, CEO has violated court directions and attached his blue eyed clerks at prime postings in the ZEO offices to collect commission of various government schemes. Sources said that CEO has no authority to transfer or attach a head clerk from one zone to another but CEO has bypassed all government directions to adjust their henchmen. Sources said that there is big nexus of clerks and officers in the area. ZEO Peereh has get free accommodation from his clerk Nazir Hussain in his house. Sources said that only 90 schools were given Mid day meal funds while no funds were released for 30 remaining schools in the area. Sources said the clerks received commission on every disbursement while they have completely digested Mid Day meal funds of April month, sources alleged adding that the share of this commission is being given to CEO from every zones. An ReT teacher Mohd Altaf in Peereh zone confirmed that he also gave commission to the ZEO office clerk Nazir Hussain for releasing Mid Day meal funds to the school. Sources further alleged that CEO has not rotated District Resourse Group (DRG) for the last 8 years. The DRG is being allegedly misusing his power as there are large scale complaints of mis-appropriation of funds in Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme. There are also complaints that CEO is not rotating ZRP's and CRP's in the district even though there are a dozen orders from higher up to change these teachers from SSA and gave chance to others to work in the scheme. When contacted CEO Rajouri Gurucharan Singh refuted the allegations and did not comment any more on the issue.

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships.
