GNS Jammu 13th November, : Meetings of PDP workers were held at Gole Gujral, Bhagwati Nagar and Nanak Nagar on the initiative of S. Jagjit Singh Jagga, State Secretary PDP and S Davinder Singh, Zone Secretary, Gandhinagar . Addressing a series of meetings the PDP leaders said the present coalition Government led by Umar Abdullah has failed on all fronts. The tall and false promises made by the National Conference at the time of last Assembly elections have fallen flat The Corruption and nepotism is on rampant and the cost of daily use essential goods are beyond the reach of common man. No steps are being taken to contain the prices of the essential goods and the common man is suffering badly due to the same. The developmental works have been stand still due to the wrong policies of the present Government. The educated youth are the worst sufferer of the present Government as this Government has not been able to form any policy to absorb the unemployed educated youth. They further said that the present Government has indulged into deceptive tactics to befool the innocent people and their problems are not been addressed by the present regime. Even ration is not being made available to the common man in far flung areas and their problems are being aggravated by the present Government and human rights are violated .During meetings Shri R.K.Bali, District President, Jammu Urban and S. Jagjit Singh Jagga, State Secretary assured the senior leaders present in the meetings that the workers and people of their areas will come in large numbers and make the function of Demonstration on 15th instant a great success and will show their full solidarity with People Democratic Party. The meetings were attended by S. By Tahir Mushtaq (TNI) GNS JAMMU, : With Management of rising vehicles become a nightmare for the administration in the rapidly growing urban centers of Jammu and Kashmir, government has decided to formulate a comprehensive City Transport Policy for scientific management of the vehicles. Sources said that some private consultants are being hired by the Transport Department to do a detailed study of traffic pattern, road use and ways to deal with the jams at peak hours. Officials said that this will be for first time that such a detailed scientific study is being conducted in Jammu and Kashmir to effectively manage nearly 800000 vehicles which ply on the roads including thousands of floating vehicles which enter the state daily carrying pilgrims of Vaishno Devi shrine and other religious places in Jammu region. “To streamline the regulation of traffic smoothly in the cities of Jammu and Srinagar, a comprehensive City Transport Policy is being introduced very soon.
