Thanamandi zone is completely shut due shortage of teachers

NOV 5; Despite the tall claims of government to have been spending crores of rupees in raising infrastructure and providing other allied facilities to the government controlled education sector , large number of schools in Thanamandi zone of border district Rajouri are facing short of teachers due to which thousands of students have been suffering . Large number of schools are either completely shut or have been effected du to short of teachers . Giving details sources said that large number of government schools in Thanamandi education zone are either completely shut or have suffered badly due to the short of teachers . Sources said , for instance government primary school Kopra in Saj village of Thanamandi zone is completely shut due to the non availability of teacher . As per details , on 25/ 6/ 2011 Zonal education officer Thanamandi had invited applications from the aspiring candidates to appoint them in the said school under RET scheme . However, despite consuming four months the authorities failed to appoint the teacher in the said school so far . Due to the closure of school , the students have gone to private and other schools , said sources . When contacted Zonal Education Officer Thanamandi , Mukh Raj admitted that he had invited the applications from desirous candidates but could not finalize due to some dispute in the village . However, he said the he had made an arrangement by deploying an other teacher from a adjoining middle school but the said teacher also met with an accident due to which he could not go to school . He said that there is a short of about 71 teachers in his Zone and many schools have suffered because of this shortage . Not only KopraSaj primary school , sources said large number of schools are shut in Thanamandi Zone either because of shortage of teachers or their absence from the duty .

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships.
